AutionPurchased LC / GC / MS from an unknown source?

Make sure your HPLC or GC system delivers all you paid for.

As auction sites grow in numbers and popularity, to save money buyers are taking the gamble.

But are the units bought all you expected ?

Are the units:-

Fit for purpose - has the description been accurate, is the unit compatible with your existing units, is it complete, does it work ?

We can advise what can work together and what you need to make it happen.

De-contaminated - Systems shut down incorrectly can have old sample or buffer left in them, just piping up and filling with solvent can have catastrophic results.

We can advise a safe method to both you of removing old sample or chemical from the system without risking damage to the system components.

Electrically and functionally safe - Prior to selling at auction PAT testing and checking the insulation is a rarity and in our experience the units never come with a PAT test certificate. We can inspect the system for dangerous leads and connections then PAT test to ensure the system passes its safety standards required by law.

Do you know how to install your purchase - the last thing you need once you have spent your money is to find you need lots of different parts to connect up your system. Pipe connections, cables, signal leads, coms cables etc.

If you are unfamiliar with a systems construction you can spend a lot of money trying to make your purchase work,  buying the wrong part for that model or year, buying this part from here and that part from there, it can cost a lot of time and money from ordering the wrong part or delivery charges or minimum order suppliers. Using our experience and installation stock we can take this task off you and deliver a system ready for work.

Do the units work within specification - you have no history on these purchases so how do you know if the pump, sampler heated zones or detector are giving correct results. Pressure limit controls can be set incorrectly or in some cases by-passed which in the event of a pressurised leak can cause injury. A system with errors will give inaccurate results which reflect on the quality and value of your product.

Our experienced service engineers can inspect the system and produce test results of the system settings and accuracy. In the event the system is out of a usable tolerance we can advise the work required to get the system into operation and earning its expenditure. Work can usually be carried out there and then saving downtime and return visits.
